The governments of India, Afghanistan and Iran have decided to include the ports of Mormugao and New Mangalore as part of the designated route under the Chabahar port agreement. The development came as part of the second meeting of the follow-up committee for implementation of the trilateral Chabahar agreement between the three countries. Meanwhile, Indian ports that are already a part of the designated route under the agreement are JNPT, Deendayal, Cochin and Mundra.
