Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has successfully established the flow potential of light, high-quality crude oil from the development well AS-1Z at Ashoknagar in the Bengal basin. The well commenced spudding on May 30, 2026. The move marks a notable step, bringing the well closer to commencing monetisation.
