Indian Railways (IR) approved the provision of Electronic Interlocking (EI) at seven stations of Solapur Division Project under Central Railway (CR), in Maharashtra, Karnataka. It has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 2.09 billion.
The EI system will be provided at Mohol, Mundhewadi, Bale, Solapur, Hotgi Junction-Hotgi A Cabin, Shahabad and Wadi Junction on the High Density Network (HDN) seven route, where Kavach, Automatic Block Signalling (ABS) and Centralised Traffic Control (CTC) works have been sanctioned.
The project involves provision of EI at seven stations of Solapur division of CR zone at an investment of Rs 2.09 billion.
