Indian Railways (IR) approved three railway projects. These include:
Adra end-Joychandipahar Bypass Rail Line Project involves construction of a 11 km long bypass rail line between Adra end and Joychandipahar in West Bengal at a cost of Rs 2.72 billion under Energy, Mineral and Cement Corridor for IR. It falls under the South Eastern Railway zone and will facilitate additional traffic of 8.88 million tonnes per annum upon completion.
Electronic Interlocking (EI) at 21 Stations of Samastipur Division Project involves replacement of existing Panel Interlocking (PI) with EI at 21 stations of Samastipur division under East Central Railway zone at an estimated cost of Rs 2.33 billion.
Kavach 4.0 on remaining sections of Moradabad Division Project covers 712 route km under Northern Railway zone at an estimated cost of Rs 1.7 billion.
