HCLTech is set to establish its first owned data centre in India, an artificial intelligence (AI)-optimised facility in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, with a proposed investment of Rs 7.30 billion. The project also includes a global development centre (GDC) and is expected to create 6,000 high-skilled jobs while enhancing the state’s digital infrastructure.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the integrated campus is expected to be signed with the Odisha government this week, in the presence of the chief minister of the state and the chairperson of HCLTech. The Odisha government has already approved the project, which aims to accelerate the development of an AI-driven technology ecosystem in the region.
The facility, likely to be located in Info Valley-II, will support next-generation computing workloads and enable HCLTech to deliver advanced AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity, digital engineering and enterprise technology services to its global clients from Odisha.
