PNGRB grants authorisation to Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals for ATF pipeline

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has granted authorisation to Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) for the development of an ATF pipeline from Devangonthi to the existing common user fuel farm station and the upcoming satellite fuel farm station inside the Kempegowda International Airport at Bengaluru in Karnataka. The 12-inch diameter pipeline has a length of approximately 38 km and a system capacity of 2.5 million tonnes per annum. It has an estimated capex of around Rs 2.12 billion. This marks the second ATF pipeline to the airport. The pipeline is expected to enhance the supply reliability, operational resilience and infrastructure redundancy, while also reducing the transportation of ATF via road.
