Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in Andhra Pradesh received its aerodrome licence from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) on July 10, 2026.
The licence confirms the airport’s compliance with regulatory and safety standards, clearing the way for the commencement of commercial flight operations.
The airport also features air cargo facilities, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and other amenities, expected to strengthen regional connectivity and drive growth along the eastern coast of India.
