Commercial operations have commenced at the newly developed Halwara civil terminal in Ludhiana, Punjab, with the inaugural flight landing at the airport from New Delhi on May 15, 2026. The operationalisation of the airport is expected to drive industrial development, improve connectivity and accelerate economic growth in Punjab by enhancing trade, business opportunities and regional infrastructure development across Ludhiana and nearby areas.
