JSW Infrastructure receives customs clearance for its container terminal at NSD, SMPK

JSW Infrastructure has received customs clearance to commence operations at its container terminal at Netaji Subhash Dock (NSD) under Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority, Kolkata (SMPK), for berth no. 7 and the adjoining backup area. The project is operated through its subsidiary JSW Kolkata Container Terminal Private Limited.

The terminal is being developed under the public-private partnership model with a 30-year concession agreement signed in 2025. Once completed, the project is expected to boost container handling efficiency and raise JSW Infrastructure’s total container handling capacity to nearly 1 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs), alongside its operations at New Mangalore Container Terminal.
