Government approves Rs 270 million for Bhogapuram International Airport

The Andhra Pradesh government has approved Rs 270 million for the immediate restoration of four rainwater outlets at the under-construction Bhogapuram International Airport in Vizianagaram district. This follows a recommendation from Andhra Pradesh Airports Development Corporation Limited to improve and desilt critical outfall canals OT1, OT2, OT4 and OT5. Funds will be drawn from the Rs 10 billion Housing and Urban Development Corporation loan sanctioned for the project. The Water Resources Department will execute the restoration work.
