Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and the Government of Madhya Pradesh inaugurated the priority corridor [Subhash Nagar – All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)] under the Bhopal Metro Project Phase I on December 20, 2025. Besides, operations on the same commenced on December 21, 2025. The corridor entails an investment of Rs 22.25 billion.
The Bhopal Metro Project involves development of a metro rail transit system in Madhya Pradesh comprising two corridors of total length of 30.8 km at an estimated cost of Rs 100.33 billion.
