Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) and Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) are likely to plan a conventional metro project instead of earlier planned metrolite in Prayagraj. Besides, the detailed project report for the same is likely to be completed in November 2025.
The project involves two corridors that are Bamrauli-Jhunsi City Lake (Corridor I) spanning 23 km with 20 stations and Shantipuram-Chheoki (Corridor II) spanning 21 km with 19 stations. The project entails an investment of Rs 100 billion.
