Defence ministry approves 11 acres for Prayagraj Airport expansion

The Ministry of Defence has granted permission for the use of around 11 acres of Indian Air Force land for the expansion of the Prayagraj airport in Bamrauli, Uttar Pradesh. The project also includes the construction of a cargo warehouse aimed at strengthening regional trade and logistics. The land transfer follows an equal value land system, under which the state government provides land of equivalent value in exchange to the defence ministry. The estimated cost of the land is Rs 639.4 million.
