Trial runs conducted on priority corridor under Patna Metro Phase I project 

The first trial run was conducted under the Patna Metro project on Patliputra Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) – Bhootnath stretch on September 3, 2025. In this initial run on the priority corridor, a three-coach metro train operated on 800 metres long track inside the depot, where every technical and safety parameter was closely tested.

Phase I of the project involves the development of a 32.5 km long metro rail network in Patna, Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 139.25 billion. It involves the development of two corridors, viz. Corridor 1 (Danapur Cantt-Mithapur) and Corridor 2 (Patna Junction-Patna ISBT).
