Central Railway (CR) has completed the construction work of the Pune-Satara section under the Pune-Miraj-Londa Line Doubling Project.
The project involves doubling of the 467 km long rail line between Pune and Londa via Miraj from Maharashtra to Karnataka. It will be implemented in two phases, phase I will involve doubling of a 281 km long Pune-Miraj rail line, which is being executed by CR and phase II will involve doubling of a 186 km long Miraj-Londa rail, which is being executed by South Western Railway (SWR).
