Phase 2 of PSA Mumbai at Jawaharlal Nehru Port becomes facility-ready

The phase 2 of PSA Mumbai (Bharat Mumbai Container Terminal) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port has become facility-ready.

With the completion of both phases, PSA Mumbai becomes India’s largest container terminal, offering a total handling capacity of 4.8 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

The terminal now features 2,000 metres of quay with 24 quay cranes (16 installed currently), 72 rubber-tyred gantry cranes (48 installed currently), six rail sidings equipped with four rail-mounted gantry cranes, and a 200-hectare yard.
