The state cabinet of Karnataka has approved the implementation of the Hebbal Esteem Mall Junction-Silk Board KSRP Junction Underground Three Lane Vehicular Tunnel Project (Bengaluru Twin Tunnel Project) at an estimated cost of Rs 177.80 billion.
The project involves the construction of the Esteem Mall-Hebbal-Mekri circle-Palace Ground. The tentative length with approaches for this is 5.71 km in North-South 1 zone; the Palace Ground-Golf Course-Race Course-Palace Road Junction with a tentative length (with approaches) of 2.8 km in North-South 2 zone; the Race Course/Chalyuka circle-Lalbagh BG spanning 4.1 km in North-South 3 zone, with approaches; and the Lalbagh Botanical Garden- Silk Board KSRP Junction for which the tentative length with approaches is 5.6 km in North-South 4 zone.
The total length of the project is 18.5 km. The project will be executed in BOT (Toll) mode.
