Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) S-1408A has been commissioned for package KNPCC-11 at Rawatpur station under the Kanpur Metro Rail Phase-I project.
It will cover a distance of 4.10 km till Double Pulia station. It would first build the tunnel till Kakadeo and then construct the downline till Double Pulia. Besides, upline tunneling works for the stretch is underway.
The Kanpur Metro Phase I project involves development of 33 km long metro rail system in Uttar Pradesh at an investment of Rs 110.76 billion.
