Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has submitted the detailed project report (DPR) for the Chennai metro rail project phase-I extension (Chennai Airport to Kilambakkam Bus Terminus) to the government of Tamil Nadu.
The project is likely to enhance connectivity between Kilambakkam Bus Terminal and the Chennai Airport. It involves development of 15.46 km long metro rail network with 13 elevated stations at an estimated cost of Rs 93.35 billion.
