The construction work on the Kazipet Manufacturing facility is likely to be completed by December 2026. It is being developed by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) at an estimated cost of Rs 6 billion.
The facility will develop advanced Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) coaches among others along with providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) for rolling stock. It is located at Kazipet Junction in Telangana on the Balharshah-Secunderabad trunk route.
