Work on Kargil Chowk-Science College Elevated Road Project in Bihar to be completed by March 2025 

The construction work on the Kargil Chowk-Science College Elevated Road Project is likely to be completed by March 2025. Previously the work was expected to be completed by the end of January 2025. Now, the superstructure of the same is expected to be completed by the end of January 2025 but finishing touches on expansion joints, wearing coat, crack barrier, side railing, noise barrier, service road and plantation are likely to take another 2 months.

Currently, about 80 per cent work on the substructure is completed and about 55 per cent of progress has been achieved on the superstructure. A total of 113 pillars have been constructed, and 112 spans will be placed, of which 71 are ready.

The project involves construction of a 3.65 km long elevated road connecting Kargil Chowk, Gandhi Maidan and Science College via PMCH and NIT Mor on Ashok Raj Path (two-lane double decker) in Patna district of Bihar at an estimated cost of Rs 4,220 million.
