The union government approved the Rithala-Narela-Kundli corridor under the Delhi metro project phase IV on December 6, 2024.
The project involves extension of the Rithala-Bawana-Narela corridor of the Delhi Metro to Kundli in Haryana. It spans across 23.7 km, of which 2.7 km is in Haryana and the remaining in Delhi. It has 21 stations that are namely, Rohini Sector 25, Sector 26, Sector 31, Sector 32, Sector 36, Barwala, Rohini Sector 35, Sector 34, Barwala Industrial Area, Bawana Industrial Area, Bawana JJ Colony, Sannoth, New Sannoth, Depot Station, Bhorgarh, Narela Anaj Mandi, Narela DDA Sports Complex, Narela, Narela Sector-5, Kundli and Nathupur. The project is likely to entail investment of Rs 62.31 billion and will be jointly funded by central and state governments.
