Goa Shipyard started production of first of the seven next-generation offshore patrol vessels 

Goa Shipyard (GSL) has started production of first of the seven next-generation offshore patrol vessels (NGOPV) to boost the anti-piracy and surveillance capabilities of the Indian Navy. These 115 metres OPVs, with high-tech advanced features and equipment would be equipped with multipurpose drones, artificial intelligence capability and wirelessly controlled remote water rescue craft lifebuoy, enabling greater flexibility and operational edge to face new-age multidimensional challenges.
