Kolkata Metro reported non-fare revenue of Rs 27.2 million in April 2024 

Kolkata Metro Railway reported non-fare revenue of Rs 27.2 million in April 2024, an increase of 38 per cent as compared to April 2023. The metro had earned Rs 19.7 million non-fare revenue in April 2023. The rise in revenue can be attributed to the implementation of various strategies such as branding litter bins, displaying advertisements inside and outside trains, erecting hoardings in open spaces, and installing health check-up kiosks at different stations. Additionally, branding initiatives on track sidewalls, card balance checking terminals, and smart card recharge machines have contributed to the boost in non-fare revenue.
