Special VFR operations approved for Gondia airport

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has approved special visual flight rules (VFR) for the Gondia airport in Maharashtra, enabling flights to operate in low visibility conditions to and from the airport. The move is part of efforts to address flight delays and cancellations at small airports due to low visibility. Approval was received by IndiGo for its ATR 72-600 type aircraft for the special VFR operations to and from the airport.
