SGEL signs PPA with SECI for 200 MW wind project

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has signed a power purchase agreement with the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) for a 200 MW grid-connected wind power project. SGEL had won the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from SECI under the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) mechanism at a tariff of Rs 3.24 per kWh. Estimated to cost Rs 14 billion, the project is expected to be commissioned by November 2025.
