Central government inaugurates Chikjajur-Mayakonda section of Chikjajur-Harihar-Hubbali doubling project

The central government inaugurated the 18 km Chikjajur-Mayakonda section of the Chikjajur-Harihar-Hubbali doubling project on February 10, 2019. The doubling of this section has been undertaken at a cost of Rs 1.1 billion. The entire project involves doubling of the existing 190 km rail line between Chikjajur and Hubballi via Harihar in Karnataka at an investment of Rs 19 billion.
