ACC and Ambuja Cement to use Hughes Communications India’s managed services for improved connectivity

Hughes Communications India (HCI), a leading provider of broadband satellite and managed network services, will deploy its managed dual long-term evolution (LTE)/4G high-availability solution for ACC and Ambuja Cement Limited. This managed service from HCI introduces a diverse path backup to the SD-WAN network deployed by ACC Limited and Ambuja Cement Limited in their manufacturing units, enhancing network reliability to support critical business processes and applications.

HCI will deliver a turnkey solution, including set up, installation and support, at all sites. The 2 Mbps LTE/4G links are from different telcos with auto failover between the LTE links. The customer premises equipment will have two independent LTE ports and modules, supporting all the major routing and security protocols. In the event of a primary network failure, the HCI solution will provide connectivity for critical business applications such as enterprise resource planning, voice and internet. The HCI solution also provides a clear and easy-to-use reporting interface, offering customers a single dashboard view of their network, devices and user activities, facilitating seamless network set-up, change management and desk support.

“We are excited to work with ACC Limited and Ambuja Cement to support the digital transformation efforts of India’s two marquee cement companies. We look forward to working closely with the group companies to revolutionise their existing network and enabling a successful network transformation journey,” said Shivaji Chatterjee, president and managing director, HCI. “The HCI suite of managed services includes managed secure LTE, managed broadband and SD-WAN with ZTP. We also provide an online portal, offering a single pane of glass visibility across all network elements. We look forward to supporting ACC and Ambuja Cement with our best-in-class offerings to enhance the overall network and business performance.”

HCI provides a portfolio of managed services and provisioning services for more than 30,000 enterprise locations in the banking, retail, energy and retail petroleum markets. HCI offers multiple broadband transports including LTE and very small aperture terminal. HCI won the 2023 Best Managed Services Provider award in the ET Telecom Awards.
