CR transports 0.1 million automobiles in April-November 2023 period

In a notable development, Central Railways (CR) has transported a total of 0.1 million automobiles from April 1, 2023 to November 15, 2023. This is 36 per cent higher as compared to the corresponding period in 2022-23. The automobile transportation (of 0.1 million in 708 rakes) has generated revenue to the tune of Rs 1.2 billion in the said period. In the corresponding period in 2022-23, CR carried 0.07 billion automobiles in 613 rakes with overall revenue generation of Rs 0.94 billion.
