Enrich inks contract for 290 MW BESS in Andhra Pradesh

Enrich Energy Private Limited has signed a contract agreement with NTPC Limited for the deployment of a 290 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) project at the Simhadri thermal power station in Andhra Pradesh. The agreement covers the end-to-end installation and integration of the BESS within the existing thermal power infrastructure.

Additionally, the scope of work includes the incorporation of advanced components such as battery systems, battery management systems, energy management systems, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, power conditioning systems, and inverter-duty transformers. A 400 kVA substation with bay integration is also planned, which will be connected to the 33 kV switchgear, along with associated protection, communication, auxiliary, and fire safety systems.

Moreover, the project involves the establishment of remote monitoring and control systems to support operational efficiency. Enrich will provide operations and maintenance services as part of the overall contract.
