IR launches NGeT system

Indian Railway (IR) online travel portal has launched the NGeT (next-generation e-ticketing) system, the beta version of its new user interface.  NGet allows passengers to check train availability without login; and offers enhanced class-wise, train-wise, destination-wise, departure/arrival time-wise and quota-wise filters. The waitlist prediction option, whereby the probability of a waitlisted ticket getting confirmed is shown using an algorithm based on historical booking trends of a particular train, has also been introduced.
