GE Shipping signs contract for purchase of vessel of 36,567 cubic metres

Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (GE Shipping) has signed a contract for the purchase of a 36,567 cubic metre vessel. The 1996-built vessel is expected to be added to GE Shipping’s fleet by the first quarter of 2018-19. The company’s current fleet stands at 47 vessels, comprising 32 tankers and 15 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 10.37 years aggregating 3.88 million DWT.
