The Network Planning Group (NPG) of ‘PM GatiShakti National Master Plan’ has evaluated the Punarakh-Kiul Third and Fourth Rail Line Project and the Silghat (Silghat Town)-Dekargaon (Tezpur) New Rail Line Project.
Punarakh-Kiul Third and Fourth Rail Line Project involves laying a 49.57 km long third and fourth rail line from Punarakh to Kiul in Bihar. The proposed section traverses the Patna and Lakhisarai districts, strengthening the rail infrastructure in one of the state’s key industrial and agricultural corridors.
Silghat (Silghat Town)-Dekargaon (Tezpur) New Rail Line Project involves laying a 27.5 km new line from Silghat (Silghat Town)-Dekargaon in Assam. The proposed alignment is strategically positioned near National Highways NH-15 and NH-715, enabling strong synergy between rail and road transport systems.
