Rail Vikas Nigam Limited achieves breakthrough of tunnel-3 of Wardha-Nanded New Line (via Yavatmal-Pusad) Project in Maharashtra

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) has achieved a breakthrough of a 370 m long T-3 tunnel in connection with the Wardha-Nanded New Line (via Yavatmal-Pusad) Project in Maharashtra.

The project involves development of a 284 km long new rail line between Wardha and Nanded in  Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 34.45 billion. It was sanctioned in the Railway Budget 2008-09. Of the total project cost, 40 per cent is being funded by the state government, and the remaining 60 per cent is funded by the Ministry of Railways (MoR).
