The Government of Karnataka inaugurated Kushtagi–Talakal section of the Wadi-Gadag New Line Project.
The project involves development of a 252.5 km long railway line from Wadi to Gadag in Karnataka with an investment of Rs 28.41 billion. It will provide direct link connectivity between Hyderabad-Karnataka and Mumbai-Karnataka regions by providing a direct and shorter route for the people in these areas.
