KfW Development Bank has signed an agreement with the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) worth Rs 30.44 billion (340 million euros) under the Bengaluru metro rail project phase-II on December 13, 2024. Besides, the project has now achieved 100 per cent financial closure.
The Bengaluru metro project phase-II involves construction of four extensions and two new lines covering a length of 72.09 km (13.79 km underground and 58.3 km elevated), in Karnataka at an investment of Rs 306.95 billion.
