Agreement signed between KfW Development Bank and Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) under Bengaluru metro project phase II

KfW Development Bank has signed an agreement with the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) worth Rs 30.44 billion (340 million euros) under the Bengaluru metro rail project phase-II on December 13, 2024. Besides, the project has now achieved 100 per cent financial closure.

The Bengaluru metro project phase-II involves construction of four extensions and two new lines covering a length of 72.09 km (13.79 km underground and 58.3 km elevated), in Karnataka at an investment of Rs 306.95 billion.
