Yama Constructions LLP has won a contract worth Rs 806.54 million for development of water supply scheme (WSS) in Mirik, West Bengal under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0. Bids for the same were invited by the Public Health Engineering Directorate (PHED), West Bengal in February 2024.
The scope of work includes investigation (including hydrological), surveying, designing, construction and commissioning of intake with associated intake structure with raw water pumping station with constructing necessary all allied civil, electrical, mechanical works, including geotechnical investigation, raw water rising main, conventional water treatment plant (WTP) of capacity 5.4 million litres per day (mld), clear water reservoir at WTP location, clear water pumps, gaseous chlorination, two clear water reservoir for en route village, treated water mains, river bank protection work, approach road length, pipe carrying bridge over suitable foundation, installation of full bore electromagnetic flow meter, internal illumination, implementation of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), three months trial run followed with three years operation and maintenance (O&M). The work is likely to be completed in 21 months.
