Two corridors have been proposed under the Bareilly Light Metro Project Phase- I. These have been proposed on the basis of the Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) prepared by RITES Limited.
The two corridors are:
- 12 km stretch from Fun City to Bareilly Junction Railway Station passing via Sun City, Phoenix Mall, 100 ft Crossing, Rohilkhand University, Tulsi Nagar, Bisalpur Chowraha Nagar, Satellite Bus Stand and Gandhi Udyan.
- 50 km stretch from Fun City to Chowki Chowraha passing via North City extension, Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI) University, Sabzi Mandi, DD Puram Chowraha, Koharapeer Road Crossing, Kutubkhana Market and Ayub khana Chowraha.
Phase-1 of the project involves construction of two corridors spanning across 21.5 km with an estimated cost of Rs 50 billion in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
While, the second phase corridors proposed include Chowki Chauraha to Clutter Buck (CB) Ganj Bareilly Junction Railway Station – South City.
