Vande Bharat Metro train service to commence in Meghalaya by June 2024 

The Vande Bharat Metro train service is likely to commence in Meghalaya by June 10, 2024. It will run on the route between Assam’s Guwahati and Mendi Pathar in Meghalaya, covering a total distance of 129 km. The journey will take two hours. It will have 14 stoppages in Assam which includes Kamakhya junction, Azara Mizra, Bamuni Gaon, Singra among others and one stoppage in Meghalaya.

Additionally, a Vande Bharat Metro service is also expected to launch on the route between Agra and Lucknow.
