The final phase of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway’s fourth segment is close to completion, with construction actively underway across four sections. A significant milestone is nearing completion of a 12 km elevated roadway over a river, with vehicular traffic expected to begin by July 2024.
The segment from Ganeshpur to the Asharodi check post, covering 20 km, runs primarily along the boundary of Rajaji National Park and will feature Asia’s longest wildlife corridor. This 12 km elevated flyover is 90 per cent completed. Upon completion, the expressway will shorten the distance between Delhi and Dehradun from 235 km to 213 km, significantly reducing travel time.
Additionally, the section from Bagpat to Saharanpur is 60 per cent complete, and the Saharanpur to Ganeshpur section is also nearing its final stages. The entire project is on track and scheduled for full completion by December 2024.
