The central government has allocated funds worth Rs 700 million to the Kanpur Development Authority for a sewerage project in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The scope of work includes the construction of a 20 million litres per day sewage treatment plant. The funds are allocated under the New Kanpur City Scheme.
