The MoPSW and the Ministry of AYUSH recently issued the International Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations (FIATA) Bill of Lading (eFBL) in India. The FIATA paperless bill of lading allows freight forwarders to easily issue secured eFBL using their everyday tools, facilitating the issuance process by removing double data entry. Further, freight forwarders can decide in which format they wish to share the document with their stakeholders, as a secured printed document or in a digital format. This bill of lading is based on blockchain technology and provides the much-needed transparency, security and accountability in the supply chain.
