NTPC Limited has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Électricité de France (EDF) to explore cooperation in the development of new nuclear power projects in India.
The understanding provides a framework for jointly assessing the feasibility of collaboration, including the suitability of EDF’s technology for Indian requirements, opportunities for localisation, economic and tariff aspects, human resource development through training programmes, identification of potential project sites, and provision of technical support as mutually agreed.
