As per reports, 40 per cent of the dedicated freight corridor (DFC) route km is expected to be completed by 2021. Most of the sections will be commissioned by March 2022 and the eastern and western corridors are expected to be commissioned by June 2022. The DFC is one of the largest railway infrastructure projects being undertaken by the government, at an investment of Rs 81.45 billion.
