The Ministry of Finance (MoF) and Agence Francaise de Developpement signed an MoU for providing funds worth Rs 20.71 billion for the Surat metro rail project Phase I on January 28, 2021. The Surat metro project involves the development of 40.35-km long metro rail in Gujarat. The project will entail an investment of Rs 120.2 billion.
