The newly inaugurated parallel taxi track (PTT) and rapid exit taxiway (RET) at Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, was operationalised on April 16, 2026. These additions are expected to significantly improve runway capacity and operational efficiency.
The move is set to enable quicker aircraft movements, hence reducing holding times. Passengers will benefit from shorter waits and smoother departures and arrivals.
