Antony Waste Handling scraps IPO due to weak demand

Antony Waste Handling Cell Limited, the first waste management services company in India to float an IPO, has withdrawn the public issue as it failed to secure enough subscriptions. Previously, the firm had extended the bid duration by five business days to March 16, 2020. The public offering of 4.82 million shares – excluding the anchor allotment – received bids for nearly 2.41 million shares (about 50 per cent) at the end of March 6, 2020. The IPO saw no new bids after that. Instead, some existing bids were cancelled and the book remained subscribed at 49 per cent based on demand for 2.38 million shares at the end of March 16, 2020.
