Purba Bharati Gas Private Limited, a joint venture (JV) of Assam Gas Company Limited (AGCL), OIL and GAIL Gas Limited was incorporated on November 19, 2019 for the implementation of city gas distribution (CGD) projects in Assam. The firm will undertake the projects in a phased manner. In the first phase, CGD networks will be developed in five districts – Kamrup, Kamrup (Metropolitan), Cachar, Hailakandi and Karimganj.
