DVC-CIL JV signs LNTP with L&T for 1,600 MW Chandrapura Project

DVC CIL Power Private Limited, a 50:50 joint venture between Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) and Coal India Limited (CIL), has signed a limited notice to proceed (LNTP) with Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) business arm, L&T Energy-CarbonLite Solutions, for the main plant package of the 2×800 MW Chandrapura Thermal Power Station in Jharkhand.

Under the package, L&T will undertake the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of boilers, steam turbines, generators and electrostatic precipitators for the two ultra-supercritical units. The project will move to the next stage after fulfilment of applicable conditions, including environmental clearance and completion of the LNTP period.
