The Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted a safety inspection on the 12 km long Rambhadrapur-Thalwara section of the Samastipur-Darbhanga Rail Line Doubling Project. Besides, speed trials were also conducted on the stretch at the speed of 120 kmph.
Further, the doubling work of the 26 km rail section was already completed and commissioned. With this, the project stands completed.
The project involved doubling along with electrification of an existing 38 km long rail line between Samastipur and Darbhanga in Bihar. It was sanctioned in the Railway Budget 2015-16.
